CTBC Missions

Charles Town Baptist Church has a thriving Missions team! We'll use this page to tell you a little about what we're doing, and to let you know where you might connect.

In addition to supporting Southern Baptist Missions through the Cooperative program, we have partnerships across North America. In past years, teams from our church have traveled to South Dakota, Kentucky, rural West Virginia, Alaska, Tennessee, and Canada. Trips are continually being organized and planned. If you are interested in partnering with us on a mission trip, contact Pastor Michael Lusby.

Helping Those in Need:

Birthright’s Mission to Offer Support

We are dedicated to providing assistance to those in need. We offer pregnancy tests, diapers, formula, clothing, and support to ensure that everyone has access to the essentials.  We strive to create a welcoming and inclusive space where individuals can receive the help they need without judgment. At our core, we believe in the power of community and the importance of coming together to support one another. Whether it's through donations or volunteering, we encourage everyone to get involved and help make a positive difference in the lives of those around us.

Jefferson County Community Ministries

As a ministry-based organization, we aim to use our values of love and kindness to support our clients to the fullest extent and engage our community in joining this effort. Motivated by a biblical imperative, JCCM engages the community to provide physical and spiritual support for those in crisis situations and seeks to move those in difficult circumstances to independence and security.

Jefferson County Community Ministries was founded in 1983 by a group of five local churches. By banning together, they shared a combined mission to make a lasting difference in the Jefferson County community. Our goals since our inception have stayed true to our roots with three main objectives:

1. To enable self-sufficiency in each person we serve

2. To empower our clients to render permanent solutions in order for them to attain personal goals

3. To prevent homelessness in our community, and beyond, to the best of our ability

CTBC is a regular contributor to this food bank, thanks to the donation of our members. Drop your donations at the church (there is usually a food cart at the back of the overflow of the sanctuary), and we'll deliver them for you!

Prayer Threads

CTBC Youth Missions

Windswept Academy

Prayer Threads is a group of people who love Jesus and love to do crafts. They make Moses baskets, blankets and hats for the Labor and Delivery department at Winchester Medical Center. They make prayer shawls, ornaments, scarves, blankets, and many other things that they give to the community and members of the church as well as selling them to raise money for missions. They get together to pray, have a time of fellowship and devotion, and create beautiful things for their community.

The Youth Group at Charles Town Baptist Church has a heart for missions. The teenagers participate in multiple mission projects each year and youth summer camp involves mission projects as well. The teens have helped with yard work, painting, building porches, delivering care packages and so much more! We believe that discipleship, mission work, and caring for others is the best way to show the love of Christ!

"I have set you an example that you should do as I have done for you." John 13:15
