Youth Lighthouse Night
Why a Lighthouse?
Matthew 5:14-15 tells us three main things, first we are the light. Jesus reminds us that we carry His truth and love, we are meant to illuminate the world. Second, we are meant to be the city on the hill. Just as an ancient city perched on a hill was highly visible and stood out to travelers, we must also live a life that shows that we are followers of Christ, standing out amongst the darkness. Finally, we must be a be a lamp on a stand, providing maximum light, not hidden. Faith cannot be hidden, we must openly share with others.
“I also tell you this: If two of you agree here on earth concerning anything you ask, my Father in heaven will do it for you. For where two or three gather together as my followers, I am there among them.”
